Welcome to the
Springfield Lake Shore Improvement Association

This site is designed to offer information about the activities of our organization and other organizations around Lake Springfield. Springfield Lake Shore Improvement Association is similar to other neighborhood associations. Our By-Laws state that the purpose of this organization is to further the education, civic and social interests of leaseholders in the area of Lake Springfield in Sangamon County. The objectives of this association shall be:

a. To promote the preservation and beautification of Lake Springfield and its marginal lands.
b. To promote safety in the use and enjoyment of Lake Springfield.
c. To represent the common interest of lease holders at Lake Springfield.

To address some of the frequently asked questions through this site, please understand that the lake is the responsibility of City, Water, Light & Power. To book a reservation at one of the lake parks or to obtain a boat license, please visit the CWLP website for their official guidelines. If you are interested in real estate opportunities on the lake, please click on the supporters and sponsors button to the left.

This association is not an official governing body of the Lake Springfield but the SLSIA Board of Directors does work closely with the Springfield City Council, City, Water Light & Power, the general public and other organizations with a common interest or purpose.
